The message stated in the topic is the one I hate most – especially if it appears with the user I am supposed to work with. But how to deal with that problem?
I started searching the knowledgebase and looked around on my system for ways on how to be able to edit the registry again to clean up the mess. I came across this handy command:
%windir%\system32\REG.exe add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
Select this command from end to end, copy and paste it in Run in start menu. Hit Enter. This will re-enable the registry editor…
