You all know that I love technical gadgets – especially testing and maybe abusing them. So you can imagine that I like the OVI Maps feature on my Nokia which is a small navigation system. We agree that it’s practical to have a mobile one, especially if you are in a foreign country on a holiday. That’s the theory.
But is it really that easy? I should mention that navigation only works if you are connected to the internet to get initial Satellite data; no matter if you got the maps installed or not. In other words, the phone will be searching for satellites without really finding one.
And as roaming isn’t cheap at all, we are stuck again.
