Another reason to use Linux?

There are many reasons for me to use Linux – one of them is the WGA checking which currently has the nerve to brandmark my Windows 7 as a “non genuine copy” since I’ve applied the latest updates. To improve the situation, this happens on a Saturday night.

AC/DC in Wels
Saturday was a big day – in fact it was THE big day, as it was the day when AC/DC performed in Wels (Austria). I have to admit, I have never seen a place that muddy – but to be hones – even a hailstorm couldn’t wreck the feeling at the concert as they played Thunderstruck.

Offline tools for blogging?
You know, I love blogging – even if I didn’t post much during the last days as I was on the road quite much. To be able to blog offline, people invented various editors like the Live-Writer which works great – as long as you don’t blog in multiple languages. Do you know a tool that works with Qtranslate without messing up the whole postings?

Facebook vs StarBlog
You might have noticed that I am hanging around on Facebook, where I also published the RSS feed of this blog – mainly to extend the range of my posts. Sounds great, but you know what’s been said about theory and things in practical. On facebook people can comment my postings too which tears up the discussion.
After some time of searching through code and plugins I stumbled across a plugin that imports those facebook comments back to the blog. I hope this solves that loose comment problem. It’s now active and we’ll see if it works as expected…

Finally!
Do you still remember my Lenovo W500 notebook? I was writing about the setup and the issue with the switchable graphic cards. You remember: It got two cards – one for the hard work and one for saving power. Switching only worked via BIOS or using Windows.
