Looking at the mobile phone market I have to admit the trend doesn’t make me happy. Nokia buried Maemo and Meego and decided to use Windows, Apple forces you to use iTunes which is a pain in the ass on any non-macintosh stuff. Symbian is ancient old and I won’t use Windows on a mobile phone.
Skype vs Growl 1.3
Since working on my Mac, I have to admit that I got used to use Growl for notifications as it’s a pretty way to get notifications in a non-disturbing way. But since Growl 1.3 Skype went on strike – just like a couple of other applications. No Growl notifications anymore.
