As already told here (german), netcat is a pretty useful tool for nearly everything – even for doing backups. This time I want to take a deeper look at it.
Netcat for sending files:
Server: nc -l -p 5023 > /tmp/file
Client: nc target 5023 < /tmp/srcfile
Netcat as telnet-server:
Serverseitig: nc -l -p 50000 -u -e /bin/sh
There are much more things you can use netcat for. Just be creative.
