HeadlineAnimator
If I have to think back at the times I have started developing the HeadlineAnimator for having a fine signature at the discussion boards, I tend to look at the documentation I wrote those times as I cannot exactly remember all of the details by now.
But there’s one thing I know for sure: The code still works even though there were many changes in the wordpress releases up to now except for the API Code. In other words, the core functions I was using still work the same way they used to do. In other words: If you’re programming, stick to the proposed functions instead of hacking your own dirty little tricks if possible – that way you will be happy for a longer time with it.

It’s getting quiet around the WP-HeadlineAnimator

Yes, it is getting quiet and there is hardly any feedback on my plugin. Nothing here. Not even on wordpress.org or mail. All the requested features have been done and a bugtracker has been set up for if it is needed.

Problems with the HeadlineAnimator Plugin

Regarding the feedback of bloggers using my plugin including Tante blogging at the-gay.bar.com, I have rolled a new release targetting problems with the EXIF PHP extension and the path of the font file.
Other changes as some checks for the required PHP extensions and making the font color customizeable are already available via Subversion.

WP-HeadlineAnimator 1.1

My WP-HeadlineAnimator got released today. Its stable version is 1.1 by now, as I had to do some changes on 1.0 for error handling.
In other words, we have reached the point where this software is about to get out into the public leaving its traces on forum- and mailsignatures.

WP-HeadlineAnimator goes WordPress Plugin Browser

My WordPress plugin will be avaliable on wordpress.org as my hosting request has been aproved:

HeadlineAnimator, my WordPress PlugIn

Since the FeedBurner Problem still has Problems accessing my feed, I decided to do the feedburner stuff myself.
The result is a WordPress Plugin which renders an headline animator like Feedburner does. That’s what it looks like:
Configuration takes place at the administrative backend.
